MANDALA ILLUSTRATION

This project was a self-guided assignment using only micron pens, no other tools. It is the first piece of a series focusing on third world countries. This particular design reflects the country of Haiti, and in its layers hold many of its symbols, pieces of their culture and daily lives, and patterns used on their clothing. The goal of these works is to show that though they are developing countries, these places are still rich in culture and have beautiful aspects their people see clearer than outsiders do.
